My dear Sunil,

I hope that this letter of mine would find you in the best of your health and spirits. How are you? I am fine here. I am busy in a computer course and pay you a visit by the end of next month.

In your previous letter, you had asked me about careers in IT and Internet. I am also pleased to know that you have purchased a computer. IT is the latest career for young boys and girls today. Many of them are becoming computer programmers, hardware engineers and web designers. Internet is the latest technology of the new century. You would do well to become an Internet website designer. Nowadays, there are many opportunities available in this wonderful field.

Why don’t you take up a course in website designing? After nearly two years, you would be able to design webpages in HTML, Java and Visual Basic 6.0. You would be able to get a job in a local firm. You would earn Rs. 6,000-8,000 to begin with. Later, you could complete MCA and become a manager in a good company. You must give a thought to this idea.

As you already have a computer, connectivity to Internet would not be a problem. You must work hard for at least 3-4 years and then, the sailing would be smooth for you. I can also help you in getting a good job in Calcutta, if you so wish.
